Pre-Primary: Virtual Field Trip to the Zoo:
At home, but free to roam! Our tiny pockets of energy, with a bagful of curiosity experienced the thrill of a field trip to the zoo. Although virtual, the field trip to the Vandalur Zoo was artfully and creatively videographed by their teacher, customized according to the concept of their chapter 'Zoo (Wild Animals)' . Elephants, tigers, hyenas, wild buffalos and bears - the students of 'NURSERY A' got to meet them all. The students, ready with caps, bags and glasses, enjoyed viewing these animals. Additionally, they also learnt to be kind to the animals.
The students' engagement in the follow-up activity of Colour, Symbol, Image made it evident that the virtual field trip with its limitations was fairly successful and effective.
